This is a soft, subtly textural abstract weave was one of the first weavings I made after becoming a mother. It’s inspired by the idea of the feminine, the cycle of life and the constant contradiction between the pain and joy of adjusting to a new identity and life as a mother. It is woven using Romanian wool, vintage french silk and recycled sari silk. It is mounted on a wooden dowel and comes ready to hang.
